Different types of single buggies

A lightweight buggy is a great choice for parents who frequently travel and use public transport, or plan on going on vacation with their child. They usually weigh less than 6kg in weight and fold down to a small size which means they can be carried easily in overhead luggage compartments of flights. Buggies that are lightweight are great for travelling around town as they're generally simple to maneuver. Many come with sunshade and raincover that are worth the investment to keep your baby entertained on any outing!

A jogger's buggy is large with BMX wheels and is made to exercise. It will have a strong suspension to absorb the bumps, bounces and other impacts of off-road usage. It can be difficult to control a jogger buggie because the front wheels may rotate. Locking the wheel is important when crossing roads or mounting kerbs.

Some single buggies are adjustable which allows the seat to face either forwards or backwards (known as parent-facing). This is great for infants who get fussy in their car seats and prefer to look out at their parents. Buying a single buggy

A new buggy can be costly. Most pushchair packages that include bassinets for babies can cost upwards of PS700. This is a significant amount for parents who are on the tightest budget.

A majority of families buy at least two buggies, especially if they live in a big city that has easy access to public transport or a large car boot. They also are more likely to spend their weekends in muddy parks. One main sturdier buggy that can carry loads and withstand rough terrain and potentially expand with the family, and a light travel buggy to take on holidays and tight spaces, such as on public transport or crowded streets.

We recommend buying a single buggy that you love, and selling it when your child gets older and you have to upgrade to a double. So you don't end up with a gadget you don't really need.

Buying a double buggy

When purchasing a double-buggy you will have plenty to consider from how much it will cost to what kind of recline positions the seats offer. You should also consider whether you require a large shopping basket as well as what type of suspension the buggy is equipped with. It is also worth considering what features you want your buggy to include such as sunshades, rain covers and snack trays.

There's a wide selection of double buggies available on the market and the right one for you will depend on the person who will be using it, your lifestyle and budgetary constraints. If you are expecting twins, or have a toddler and a newborn, you may need a stroller that can grow with your family.
