Your uPVC windows are susceptible to cracking due to many reasons. Temperature fluctuations are the most common cause. The sudden rise or decrease in temperature could cause cracks to develop. This is especially true when the window is placed in an area that is exposed.
Another reason for a crack is damage to the uPVC window frame. This could be caused by hitting the window with a heavy object, or even using a ladder to lean against it. The resulting pressure can cause the frame to crack and even break.
Fortunately cracks that occur in uPVC windows can be fixed fairly easily. The first step is to clean the crack with water and detergent. After that, fill the crack with the acrylic compound. Apply the compound 2 minutes after mixing it, and make sure it gets absorbed into the crack. Then, sand your patch to smooth it out.
